Does your body always feel tight or sore? And nothing you do is helping? Myofascial release might be the answer to solve these problems.
‘Myo’ is the shortened word for muscular tissue. ‘Fascia’ is a 3D web of connective tissue which connects the superficial layers of muscular tissue to the deep layers up to the bone.
Trigger points (TrPs), commonly called as “knots” are sore spots which typically cause deep aching. These spots can sometimes be alarmingly fierce, and they seem to grow like weeds around injuries. They may be a major factor in any chronic pain.

How is Myofascial Release done?
A myofascial release is a manual approach for managing pain and discomfort. Instead, myofascial release can be an intense experience. During the session, our physiotherapist will massage, knead and gently stretch the knot to increase blood circulation around the area and help reduce its sensitivity.
The pressure can be applied by the physiotherapist’s hands, elbows, or a massage tool like a foam roller, a ball, or an IASTM device. You might feel sore afterward, but when the soreness subsides, you’ll feel a lot looser and more comfortable than you did before.
Our Physiotherapists at FLEXITUDE can provide one of the best and most relieving Myofascial release sessions both for your chronic pain and stiffness.
